        (i) Acceleration (ii) Displacement (iii) Angular speed (iv) Angular acceleration

Q3. If the velocity of a body is reducing, it is said to have
        (i) Negative acceleration (ii) Retardation (iii) Positive acceleration (iv) Both (a) and (b)

Q4.If the v – t graph is a straight line inclined to the time axis, then
        (i) a = 0                              (ii) a ≠ 0          (iii) a = constant ≠ 0         (iv) a ≠ constant ≠ 0

Q7. A body moves in a circle of radius 5 m with a speed of 5 ms–1. Then it has
        A: an acceleration of 5 ms–2
B: an acceleration varying with direction alone

 (i) Only A is correct  (ii) Only B is correct  (iii) Both A and B are correct(iv) Neither A nor B is correct.

Q8. The displacement of the body in 5 seconds from the beginning of the motion is

Initiative for Posting Competency-Focused Practice Questions

Introduction

I am excited to announce a new initiative on my blog: Competency-Focused Practice Questions, which will be posted every Monday. These questions are specifically designed for students following the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) syllabi to enhance their learning experience and better prepare them for academic success.

Objective

The primary objective of this initiative is to provide students with consistent, high-quality practice questions that align with the current syllabi of CBSE and CISCE. The initiative aims to reinforce critical thinking and problem-solving skills, help students understand and apply key concepts, and prepare them for various types of questions they may encounter in their exams.

Why Competency-Based Questions?

Competency-based questions are essential because they encourage deeper understanding rather than rote memorization, promote analytical and logical thinking, and reflect the evolving examination patterns of CBSE and CISCE, which are increasingly focusing on application-based learning.

What to Expect?

Every Monday, a new set of questions will be posted, covering various subjects and topics as per the latest syllabi of CBSE and CISCE. These questions will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to test quick thinking and concept clarity, Short Answer Questions (SAQs) to enhance writing skills and concise expression, Long Answer Questions (LAQs) to develop detailed understanding and articulation of complex concepts, and Problem-Solving Questions to foster analytical and critical thinking abilities.

Benefits for Students

Consistent Practice: Regular exposure to diverse questions helps in better retention and understanding of subjects.

Exam Readiness: Regular practice with competency-focused questions ensures that students are well-prepared for their board exams.

Self-Assessment: Students can gauge their understanding and identify areas that need improvement.

Resource Accessibility: Accessible from anywhere, these questions provide a valuable resource for self-study.

How to Access

To access these practice questions, simply visit my blog every Monday. Each post will be tagged under "Competency-Focused Practice Questions" for easy navigation. Additionally, you can subscribe to the blog to receive notifications of new posts.

Conclusion

This initiative is part of my commitment to support students in their educational journey. I hope to contribute to their academic success and overall development by providing relevant and challenging practice questions. I encourage all students to take advantage of this resource and make consistent practice a part of their study routine.

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals!

Best regards,

Divyanshu Tripathi
